Acento Executive Search is supporting the search for a Director of Planning & Data Intelligence on behalf of our client—a company widely recognized for its innovative spirit and its ability to anticipate market trends, set industry direction, and continuously redefine best practices in data and strategic planning.

Role Objectives

• Lead the intelligence and planning strategy, optimizing decision-making through rigorous data governance.

• Drive operational excellence through process management and continuous improvement.

• Ensure the successful, aligned execution of the company’s strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute the data strategy, ensuring information availability, quality, and security as a strategic asset.

• Deliver advanced data analysis through predictive models and actionable insights via dashboards that support decision-making.

• Foster a data-driven culture that empowers all areas with timely, relevant information.

• Design the methodology for tracking strategic initiatives and projects to support strategic planning.

• Ensure efficient execution of strategic projects approved by Senior Leadership.

• Proactively report progress and risks of strategic initiatives to Senior Leadership.

• Optimize and standardize critical company processes, identifying opportunities for digitization and automation.

• Establish an operational performance monitoring system (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.

• Lead transformation initiatives that promote innovation, scalability, and operational excellence across the organization.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (completed) in Economics, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

• 5+ years in leadership roles within strategic planning and Business Intelligence, preferably in service-based companies.

Technical Knowledge

• Data Governance: quality policies, traceability, data lineage, metadata management.

• Data Quality: data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, quality issue management; frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.

• Security & Compliance: data protection, access policies, privacy (e.g., GDPR or local equivalents), data classification.

• Data Architecture: governance operating models, roles (CPO, DPO, data stewards), data catalogs.

• Data Governance & Quality Platforms: Informatica, Talend, Synapse Purview / Azure Purview, IBM InfoSphere.

• Databases & Storage: data lakehouse (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), data warehouses (Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).

• Strong ability to interpret complex data, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into concrete actions.
